BioPatterns s.r.o. is a privately held company based in the Science and Technology Park of Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech republic. Our aim is to search for small molecules to develop breakthrough therapeutics for the treatment of cancers and other serious diseases. October 10, 2015 - BioPatterns s.r.o. has received a grant from the Olomouc Region under the project "Innovation Vouchers in the Olomouc Region". The programme is focused primariy on the support of cooperation between Olomouc Region's private companies and R&D institutions.

July 30, 2014 - Biopatterns s.r.o. announces the issuance of European patent EP2430036 B1 entitled "Substituted 6-(benzylamino) purine riboside derivatives, use thereof and compositions containing these derivatives". The invention relates to 2-substited-6-(substituted benzylamino)purine riboside derivatives, to their use as antiapoptotic and anti-inflammatory factors of neutrophils and to pharmacological use as antineutropehic agents. The patent protection has been supported by grant CZ.1.03/4.1.00/21.00200 from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

August 12, 2013 - BioPatterns s.r.o. announces that Molecular Cancer Therapeutics published results of a study evaluating two synthetic inhibitors of cyclin-dependent kinases in mouse models of liver carcinoma. These data show that the compounds, covered by patent application, exhibit strong antitumorigenic effects in the absence of chemoresistance, resulting in a superior efficacy compared with currently used chemotherapeutics in hepatocellular carcinomas. July 23, 2013 - Biopatterns s.r.o. announces the issuance of U.S. Patent No. 8492391 B2 entitled, "Substituted 6-(2-hydroxybenzylamino)purine derivatives, their use as medicaments and compositions containing these derivatives". The invention relates to synthesis of substituted purines, to their activity as cyclin-dependent kinases 2, 5, 7 and 9 inhibitors and to their use as medicaments, particularly in the treatment of disorders involving cell proliferation or inflammation. The patent protection has been supported by grant CZ.1.03/4.1.00/21.00153 from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic.

June 23, 2012 - BioPatterns s.r.o. announces that European Journal of Medicinal Chemistry published results of a study describing synthesis and activity of 2,6,9-trisubstituted purine inhibitors of cyclin-dependent kinases. Eur J Med Chem 2013 Mar;61:61-72. doi: 10.1016/j.ejmech.2012.06.036.

April 28, 2011 - BioPatterns s.r.o., as a participant, has negotiated about the funding of its research by the Seventh Framework Programme of the European Commission, call Research for the benefit of SMEs (FP7 SME.2011.1).

September 1, 2009 - BioPatterns s.r.o., as a co-participant, has received a grant from the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic under the "European Social Fund, Education for Competitiveness Operational Programme Period 2007–2013 (ECOP)".

July 1, 2009 - BioPatterns s.r.o. has signed a cooperative research and joint commercialization agreement with the Palacký University in Olomouc. The coperation will focus on the development of new heterocyclic compounds and their commercialization as drugs for human diseases.

March 11, 2009 - BioPatterns s.r.o. has received a grant from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic under the "Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations (OPEI) 2007-2013", specifically the "Programme of support INNOVATION – Patent". BioPatterns expects to receive substantial refunds for its patent filing, translation and maintenance costs.

December 10, 2008 - BioPatterns s.r.o. has received a grant from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic under the "Operational Programme Enterprise and Innovations (OPEI) 2007-2013", specifically the "Programme of support INNOVATION – Patent". The programme is focused particularly on the support for the commercialisation of R&D results and the transfer of technologies onto markets through innovation activities. BioPatterns expects to receive substantial refunds under the grant for its patent filing, translation and maintenance costs.
